Failure Investigations: AQS has the necessary expertise and support mechanisms including access to metallurgical laboratories and NDT facilities to carry out failure investigations on a wide range of equipment and materials.

Statutory Inspections: We use government approved inspection authorities who are registered in terms of SANS 10227. Services provided include:

• Design review and approvals to various codes and standards.

• Third party surveillance during manufacture.

• Certification and re-certification of pressure vessels.

• In-service inspection of boilers and pressure retaining equipment.

The quality assurance activities provided by AQS are:-

Supplier assessment audits to determine if each organisation is able to meet the customers requirements.

The pre-qualification of suppliers against any given criteria i.e. ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1 or specific technical capabilities.

Audits on contractors and suppliers engaged in project execution.

Remedial audits – to determine causes of nonconformance and defects.

Product audits – to confirm conformance to specified standards

Design audits – to verify that designs meet legal and customer requirements

Close out audits – to review that all outstanding quality issues have been resolved and that lessons learnt are properly documented
